Three insane cars to be unveiled at SEMA Show
October 30, 2015
By Carlos Gaviria
Hennessey Performance (those guys that are world famous for making very, very fast
cars) will unveil 2875 horsepower at the SEMA 2015 show.  They are bringing three
cars: A 1451 HP Venom GT Spyder, a 774 HP HPE750 Supercharged Mustang
Convertible and a 650 HP VelociRaptor 650 Supercharged Ford F-150 Truck for a
combined total of 2875 horses.

Their flagship hypercar, the Venom GT now produces an extra 207 horsepower
compared to the previous generation Venom GT that clocked a top speed run of
270.4 mph at the Kennedy Space Center last year. This new Venom GT now
produces 1451 bhp thanks to the ability to run E85 Flexfuel that allows the 7.0L twin-
turbo V8 engine to increase boost pressure from 19 psi to 26 psi.

The Venom GT weighs only 2743 lbs (1244 kg) giving the hypercar a power to weight
ratio that is basically unmatched by anything else on the road.  The Venom GT is
expected to hit 60 mph in 2.4 seconds, do the quarter mile in 9.4 seconds, hit 300
kph in 10.9 seconds and on to a theoretical top speed of 280+ mph.

“Being the fastest matters”, said company founder and president, John Hennessey.
“We are intent on keeping the Venom as the fastest, best performing and most
exciting hypercar on the road”.

“We only plan to produce a handful of Venom GT’s in 2016 as we are also preparing
for our next evolution, the Venom F5”, said Hennessey. “We plan to demonstrate our
improved power and performance both in terms of straight line acceleration as well
as road course handling and lap time performance”.
